As I reflect over the events of this year I can truly say that I am blessed. Celebrating a milestone birthday in a different country with my family and being given a clean bill of health by all of my doctors has made me ponder life’s blessings to be grateful for another year that I can share simple health principles with others. Needless to say I still live by the philosophy that “life was meant to be enjoyed”. There is a saying by Solomon the wise man “There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.”
My wish for you as you take a break from work and sit down with your family for Thanksgiving dinner that you remember and reflect on all of the blessings that you have been given throughout this year. Whether you believe in God or something else, please continue to have an attitude of gratitude as this will bring more joy, happiness, peace and contentment in your life. One of the best ways is to share our blessings with others less fortunate such as providing a meal or donation to a needy family, supporting the displaced families from the recent California wild fires or just saying “thank you” to someone in your life who may not have heard these words in a long time. Happy Thanksgiving!
